We are seeking an experienced and driven Pharmacy Lead to join a high-performing healthcare team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with College of Pharmacy regulations, provincial standards, and internal company policies.
The Pharmacy Lead will provide leadership and supervision to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants while supporting the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients. This position plays a critical role in optimizing workflow efficiency, ensuring billing accuracy, supporting financial planning, and maintaining strong collaboration across multiple healthcare divisions.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all pharmacy operations are conducted in accordance with College of Pharmacy regulations and company policies
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal or contractual obligations
- Provide the highest level of pharmaceutical care for patients
- Supervise and coordinate the dispensing and clinical activities of pharmacists
- Support pharmacy technicians and assistants in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy
- Contribute to operational activities that optimize pharmacy processes and workflow efficiency
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with the development and implementation of pharmacy financial plans and overall business strategy
- Participate in regular operations meetings with the pharmacy leadership team
- Ensure proper accounting on billing, reconciliation, and financial accuracy
- Collaborate and liaise with Distribution, Patient Programs, Clinics, and Nursing divisions
- Assist with the implementation of new projects to drive and support pharmacy business growth
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients, stakeholders, and on-site personnel
- Support compliance with provincial pharmacy regulations and quality assurance standards
- Monitor pharmacy operations to ensure service excellence and patient safety
- Provide leadership support during operational escalations and urgent pharmacy matters
- May be required to participate in standby or on-call responsibilities as part of the role
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Current registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists, Schedule A
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience
- Minimum 2 years of managerial or leadership experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provincial regulations
- Working knowledge of Kroll pharmacy management system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical care standards and pharmacy compliance requirements
- Medical Information experience considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French and English) considered an asset
